“Susan how were you raped?” “Well he said he starred on the football team, but I found out later he was just a walk on!”“Jesus... this is the worst lie rape I’ve seen in all my years on the force.”

Well, daddy-shaming isn’t really much cooler than mommy-shaming.
It read very much to me like an instruction manual. And I feel for her that her trauma has led her to react in this way, but she does seem to have perceptions about people that are deeply problematic. And no one here wants to hear my theory on why men are less able to understand why catcalling is a bad thing than…
Well it came off as instructional to me. And she quite frankly sounds like the sort of person I would want to avoid at all costs.
Maybe it’s because I’m a male survivor of sexual assault (We do exist), but this article felt very much to me as an excuse for becoming paranoid and highly fearful. I don’t want to tell my son or daughter that if something bad happens, they need to shut down and become like their father.
I’m not going to make the claim that the military doesn’t have a problem with sexual assault, but this article reeks of shoddy reporting that’s just meant to rile people up.
I graduated from USMA, the author has no idea what she’s talking about when she says there is “a misogynistic culture that has been unchanged for years.”
Can’t castrate a woman. Female genital mutilation?
You say the uptick is due to ”...a misogynistic culture that has been unchanged for years.” Which implies this is a problem unique to military academies, how exactly do the military academies compare in their sexual assaults numbers to your average college?
Sons and daughters need to be taught this. And to be fair, even folks on our side of the political spectrum believe that the key to stopping sexual assault is to just tell men to stop raping people when the issues are more complex than that.
Yet the top starred comment in the thread is one demanding male celebrities have their nudes leaked. Go figure
Deadspin literally has a tag “Athlete Dong”
What made them mediocre? Their top selling albums, collaborations with top level artists, or general dominance of the top 100?

NOT!
These poor women, eating up Marxist claptrap in 2017.
NCIS? You referenced National Instant Criminal Background Check (NICB), then twice referred to NCIS (how is the Navy involved?) Am I missing something?
I cannot WAIT to hear his response to this. How do you even begin to defend/apologize for this behavior after all his feminist statements? I’m sure his non-apology will be a tangled web of hypocrisy.
So, he flirted with women and had some consensual sex with a few? I don’t feel outrage. Should I feel outrage?
This story is entirely from the women’s perspective. Believing every word of it to be true, it’s still just “pushy and insistent” conduct on his part, rather than conduct that even approaches illegality.
I get that if your schtik is that you’re a feminist this sort of accusation can be career-fatal. But now that…
