Well, who said NFS Shift 2's engine was crap? It's great once you put some (read: a lot of) work into it!

The "paying to enter" didn't actually count as that, there were a lot of people complaining about buying the C&C Ultimate Collection (which was supposed to grant it) and not getting said alpha access. And I heard from a good deal of players that some microtransaction content didn't even have enough in the way of…
It was not. In fact, internal EA politics was what did it in. When John Riccitello left, support for the game within EA's higher levels pretty much evaporated. And it was a closed alpha.
That was Tiberium Alliances, which is still going. This one ran on Frostbite 2.
These aren't hackers, these are script kiddies. Hackers are a lot more subtle and can do far, far more than a DDoS...
It's Kotaku East, as per the footer.
Well, the rampancy of software piracy and lack of respect for IP in China kind of gets in the way of AAA game development there. It's going to be a while for any real changes to happen, but it will...
They are almost all grindfests that more often than not are trying more to empty your wallet than any Steam sale. Avoid.
Or is it? There is only so much screen and processing power you can cram into a tablet/smartphone, and once you go beyond that you're back at an all-in-one PC. In my opinion, mobile gaming will introduce even more variety into the games industry, not replace what came before.
Um... does the destruction of various Chinese landmarks ring a bell? Not that the censorers hold a high opinion of the Chinese military's "we have reserves" attitude and general nuke-happiness ingame... which nobody else actually cares about ingame (it's a game mechanic, and there are far worse ones).
Well, the Chinese are a faction that you can work with or against in the game, so there's that. Don't forget that while they don't like North Korea as much as they used to, the Chinese government kind of prefers to not offend their neighbour.
Helmet cam. It's really not the most graphically or technologically advanced game, but Shift 2's helmet cam actually makes for quite the immersive experience.
Considering said physical copies will need to be activated on Steam... no they won't.
I don't know, the C7 is probably easier on new drivers than the F4U was on new pilots...
TV Tropes' Useful Notes page is even easier to understamd if you insist...
The Circuit de la Sarthe is jointly owned by the Automobile Club de L'Ouest and the city of Le Mans. The Nurburgring is a different kettle of fish due to what the previous owners tried to do: a theme park. It wasn't profitable.
Most cars have a diagnostic system nowadays, but not everyone cares for the data on it...
And what, run the risk of severe misinformation? While I'm aware that journalism today stoops below that regularly, being credible instead of repeating knee-jerk reactions is good for respectability, regardless of whether it's suicide in a world where sensationalism outsells logic.
It's an unknown unknown. And considering the LAPD's financial status they might have not been able to procure those with extended range either...
Incapacitate? Yes, but it isn't guaranteed due to adrenaline. Sometimes it kills the suspect by accident as well, rendering the point moot. Oh, and tasers are really limited range, and less lethal shotgun rounds may behave differently as well.
