In the best timeline, he broke his neck in that fall and died.

Shades of when Hurricane Ian drowned my mother’s Camry. I was expecting a fight. They told me a number over the phone that nearly made me faint dead away (2x what I paid for it three years earilier. I could not say yes fast enough.

Just absolutely unbelievable. Yet so on-brand. Idiot.

There are literally two military air bases RIGHT there next to Reagan, Andrews AFB and the Quantico Marine base. It is inevitable that there will be all sorts of training flights in that area - and realistically they need to know how to fly in congested crowded airspace.

I seriously hope that the pilot of the helicopter was not anything but a white male.

Reagan is FAR too convenient for members of Congress for it to be closed.

WTF? You are trapped on the ship on a cruise that you paid for, and the wankers have the balls to charge for medical treatment onboard??

It’s taken so long primarily because the Air Force kept changing it’s mind about what they want. And so much of it is one-off custom work that for obvious reasons, has to be done to the highest standards. And the inevitable supply chain issues.

If it has the usual craptastic US DOT-spec headlights, it probably does. But I have to think that a set of Euro-spec headlights is a whole bunch cheaper than $9K, and I don’t see any reason why the rest of the lights need to be upgraded.

They were all best-selling cars in their day.

That list of cars are all *wildly* better in pretty much every way than what most people actually drove when I was a kid, and it’s not even close.

Oldest is my ‘74 Triumph Spitfire I have owned since ‘96. Pretty much my nice weather daily driver when I am in Maine in the summer these days, and back in the day I pretty much daily drove it from Easter to Thanksgiving every year. Still puts a huge smile on my face every time. Also have a ‘95 Land Rover Disco I and

You know what never needs a software patch? The plain old boring glass rearview mirrors and rear windows on my cars.

I agree that electric is the future. But that day isn’t today, and tomorrow isn’t looking that good either currently. The market for them is getting pretty saturated even without the idiot in the White House screwing with it.

ALL headliners of that type will fail eventually. It’s a cardboard backer with a layer of foam-backed fabric glued to it. The foam turns to dust, causing the headliner fabric to droop. It’s a matter of when, not if, and brand doesn’t matter.

Evidently he thinks it’s a Tesla.

Nope - you can get a NICE one of these in the low-mid $20Ks. You can’t make this heap nice for that price. ND.

Another nail in the coffin holding my desire to buy a new car ever again.

These do actually get mid-high 20s on the highway real world mpg. Possibly 30+ with a lightish foot. FAR from 17. And rather better than the V8s do that can pull as much, especially if you are actually towing something. The V6s can hardly tow anything (relatively speaking), and still don’t get great gas mileage.
