Did you read the books? Because I came *this* close to discussing some of the fan theories about the ironborn, and specifically their Drowned God. I don't think I've read more wild fan theories about anything, anywhere than some of the theories I've seen about them. (Although some of the thoughts about just why

I apologize in advance for being That Guy On The Internet, but fan-surprise (or lack thereof) in Game of Thrones strikes me as a different animal than some of the other shows discussed here. The Song of Ice and Fire books are among the most complicated I've ever read because of how completely they commit to the

Replying as a double-upvote because that's wonderful.

I don't get why anyone thought the "team investigation" was going to be a thing, since there were like three or four cameras pointed at them and rolling literally the entire time anything happened.

I'm a very, very, very, very long ways away from their target demographic, myself. I'd assume Nolan is too, come to think of it.

I thought Cusack's character from Grosse Point Blank was his character from Better Off Dead, all grown up?

Just to follow up, you totally talked me into it. When I realized that Far Harbor and Nuka World combined were $27 USD on sale, I squeezed the extra $3 out of my cold black heart and just got the Season Pass. Thanks again to everyone who replied for the advice.

I don't think so, but thank you for your reply! I think I'm getting a better sense of these for sure.

Doesn't much sound like it. Thanks again.

I kinda get it, because they want Batman to be able to pummel anyone he sees without feeling bad about it. That said, yeah, they could have easily done a darker, more gothic (heh) - but still basically functional - GTA V city and had it be just aces. I loved that Spiderman 2 game for my Gamecube back in the day, and

I…kinda like settlements? I built up Sanctuary Hills to an almost comical decree, moving inventory out to that Rocket station nearby so I could build up this insane cobbled-together arcology…and then I more or less lost interest in them completely and just wanted to run'n'gun. I'll probably dodge 'em then.

Also, for the pen-and-paper types out there curious about that Cyberpunk 2077 game CD Projekt is developing, a good chunk of the pen-and-paper system is available for under $30 total at https://bundleofholding.com… . It was one of my top three RPGs back in the day, and I still have a mighty soft spot for it.

I loved the first one, but I haven't been able to see a clear reason to play the second—it seems like basically more of the first, when the first covered an awful lot of ground already.

Still mostly playing Fallout 4, which I'm still enjoying a great deal. I wanted to ask for DLC recommendations here while they're on sale, though. I'm almost certainly going to get Far Harbor, I could be persuaded to get Automatron and ma-a-a-aybe I get Nuka World, but the rest have surprisingly negative reviews.

I'm eyeballing nuDoom, Far Cry 4 and Dishonored 2, plus maybe the Far Harbor DLC for Fallout 4. I definitely crossed that age-driven "yes-time-no-money / yes-money-no-time for games" line somewhere along the way, and it makes me sad.

Heh, yeah, the subtext in that movie… They worked so hard to make him a "nice American boy" and to make 100% certain that there was no rebelling against a family that just didn't get it, man that you get parents who joke about cunnilingus in front of their kids and everyone grins because it's all so wholesome. I

I could see that for sure. I've also heard it said that Wahlberg needs a little blue-collar salt in his roles to believe in the character himself (which is like the twelfth reason why he was the wrong choice for that Truth About Charlie movie.) It also could explain why I think he can be so naturalistic sometimes

Invincible is one of those smaller movies that intentionally doesn't have a ton of ambition, but I thought he gave a fine performance in it.

1st scenario:
The Departed: standing out among a murderer's row of castmates
The Fighter: Bale's performance required his to bounce off of, and both knew it
Pain & Gain: I'm not trying to be Didactic On The Internet overe here but while there's no problem with hating P&G (it was designed to be hated), if you tell me it
