I'd be lying if I said this displeased me, but I am getting tired of the assumption that filing a lawsuit = guilt. I mean that generally, not specifically; I pretty much expect that he actually did it in this case. But in the larger sense, there is a logical disconnect between someone initiating a lawsuit and the

It's been said elsewhere in the thread, but there are quite a few entirely-online RPG groups out there, too. All you really need to be able to do is schedule the time.

Turns out, this problem is a good deal worse when the game is Champions and the group has never played it before.

I still remember those GOD BLESS JOHN WAYNE bumper stickers.

I had a hard time wrapping my head around how that would've looked. I can only assume Kinison wouldn't have been nearly as stoic as O'Neill was, however it worked.

I'm perversely intrigued. If I was younger, I'd probably e-mail him to suggest that he continue this story in episodic increments, a week at a time. Did Dr OGAGA give him a long list of what need to do? Did His love jane called him on the phone before she came in search of him? Just how going crazy was he for her

It's like, I want to post an opinion, but <archer>nooooooope</archer>.

Any more, I can't tell when something is appealingly bonkers or just sack-of-hammers-stupid. This saddens me.

This seems like it would be really, really, really, really easy to get to the bottom of. Either it's written in her contract or it isn't.

Yep, exactly—and I'm cheap, so I'm never playing the latest title. I still enjoy the discussions, and enough people chime in on games I do know about to make for some good conversation. (Plus there's that whole question of where else you'd go to talk with people like this, which also came up elsewhere in the thread…)

Hee hee, the buncha jerks. I tell you, the moment I come up with a brilliant game design that everyone loves, I'll take 'em all for $40 each and I'll be rich, I tell ya, rich!

Heck, I post here all the time and I don't even play consoles! I just assume everyone likes me all the time anyway, though, so I probably shouldn't think about that too hard.

Too bad they didn't get this out there when CDOs were hot; they'd have made a killing. I hear Cramer still likes them, though.

Good, good. Something else to look forward to. First, I thought Enron was a nice energy company that helped people, then I heard that Bernie Madoff was the best guaranteed retirement ever, and now this.

Same here. In hindsight, 3 seems more like a transitional state from 2 to 4.

I remember the initial reviews crossing the line from "infatuated" to "Twoo Wuv," and while I like a lot of their ideas (making influence and types of research into their own resources, for one), there is no midgame here. Like, it just doesn't exist. I personally think they need to rebalance their tech tree/building

Any standout student games, good or bad?

I know I'm sounding like a broken record over here, but what do you do in the midgame for that? I've never seen a TBS establish such a perfectly stable peace, which is great if we all actually lived there but makes for a crazy boring game.
