I tended to focus on poor personal hygiene and deliberate violation of common social folkways like personal space, or giving other people the chance to get a word in edgewise (in-game, I mean). Negging (everyone, all the time, especially the BBEG) would be a solid choice too, though.

Ahh… The penny drops. Thank you very much for explaining. It seemed like an obnoxious gimmick someone was trying too hard at (that I was carefully trying to be nice about) but knowing the backstory explains a lot. Very well, carry on.

And verily, may her fireballs fly fleet and true, and may her Frodo waste many a motherfucker, amen.

That got me in This War of Mine, too. I went from "easy scavenging" to "sneaky theft" to "sneaky stabby murder" to "cringingly outgunned" alarmingly quickly.

I've been seeing him (I'm assuming "him") around here and I just don't get the gimmick. I try to put the quotes in the context of what I'm reading and it doesn't really hang together for me.

That makes sense.

That game upset me enough that I made a conscious decision to stop playing it once I saw where they were going. Ugh, nasty business.

Rome: Total War - My Scipii armies have nearly secured Africa, although chariots in the desert = bad news. Surprised how intensely I'm getting into this, which concerns me because I remember repeatedly really enjoying it for the first two-thirds before squalor just eats everything or the game otherwise bogs down to a

How is Costume Quest? I heard such wonderful things about it, but never picked it up because a) I got burned out on massively popular little indie releases that I didn't end up enjoying all that much right around the time b) I got burned out on Tim Schafer, badly. (Spacebase DF-9 nevar forget!!1!)

Do you actually try to roleplay 3 Charisma? I would definitely try to roleplay 3 Charisma.

I hope you get one of the good endings in Wine Walk.

I love EL so, so much, but it definitely is for the journey, not the destination. I've done playthroughs with multiple factions and had that "…and that's it" feeling about the endings of most of them.

I don't actually know what you mean by reposting that comment here.

Sure, it makes sense. It's just that the vengeful tone doesn't line up with his "why is everyone so mean" persona, but certainly does fit right in for a control freak who calls his lingerie models "rescue projects" or whatever that was. I'm not trying to minimize his pain, but I'm getting pretty tired of him being

"Between takes, Zombie would explain the plot of Primer to his cast."

…or if not a duty, at the very least you can expect that people will react to your performance however they see fit. For all the talk about Feldman's feelings, nobody's really discussing his preferred scenario here: that he belt out whatever he wants and everyone automatically loves him because he's him. I feel for

Jackoff Reacher

Herzog was directly or indirectly responsible for basically everything I liked about the first one. Apparently I'm in the minority here on that one.

Jack Reacher: Never Go Backdoor
Jack Reacharound: I'll Go Back
Jackoff Reacher: Never Go Back
Jack Reacher: Never Go Back to Back
Jack Reacher: Never Come Back

It's not a perfect game, but it did let me feel like I was driving around somewhere I've never been, and it made that feel super cool. Can't ask for much more than that.
