I dunno, I had the exact same reaction when I saw the headline. "Wait, what?" He was young, seemed in good shape, etc.

Well that's where my head was going! He gives his life, keeps his bargain, and Real Arya has been watching this whole time with Needle in her hand…

I haven't read the books in awhile either, but the way I remember it, it wasn't that they were totally indiscriminate, it's that she had some scummy types working for her who would do dirty deeds left-and-right, and all she had left to her was her revenge. So she didn't worry herself if some random innkeeper got

Well, if nothing else I'm encouraged to know that I wasn't the only one who had that thought. I specifically thought it might be Jaqen, actually.

Ahh, good point. I didn't think of that. I'd been kicking that idea around, but you're right, if they were going to play that card, they would definitely horribly kill her, completely and no mistake. Ah well, it was a fun idea.

It took me an embarrassingly long time to realize he was the same guy who played "Yarp" on Hot Fuzz. He's done a great job with a great character, no doubt.

I sympathize with the scale of what they're trying to do, but I do wish the Northmen's reactions were more carefully conveyed, because I had the same reaction. You'd think these were fundamentally the same type of people as those at King's Landing, and that's really seriously not the case.

In the books at least, Cersei's arc is prophesied to a surprisingly precise degree, enough so that I hesitate to bring it up discussing the show.

This is one of those parts that I'm assuming will be different in the books. The books have been so heavy on "the North remembers."

I remember Lady Stoneheart as more like "Kill, but especially Freys." They were hardly a stabilizing force, I'll say that.

This is a bit further out there than my other theories on this, but any thoughts on the idea that that isn't Arya? I'm wondering if the reveal is Real Arya watching this from the shadows or something.

What s/he said. I remember them from the books as claiming to hunt Freys (which they actually did do, in fairness) but also being something of a walking metaphor for entropy: mob justice, constant looting, soldiers killing when they got bored, etc.

I am apparently incapable of discussing this show without referring to the books, so apologies in advance.

Late to the game, but that was my first time getting quoted here!

Interesting! I didn't know that. I played S1 a ton but never got into maps and mods back then. Thanks for sharing that.

I think quite a few current game "genres" can trace back to that one Li'l Expansion Pack That Could. Pretty impressive when I stop to think about it.

They named the game after their zero-gravity effect! Literally the name of the game! I howled that at my brother about twenty times after a particularly bad climb.

It worked that one time for Frozen Throne and then everyone lost their dang minds.

I don't miss the bouncy tank driving segments, though. I get wanting us to feel like we're really exploring alien worlds, but by the end of the game the bouncy tank segments, umm, drove me up a wall.

That Work All Weekend game really needs some design improvements, especially around pacing and short-term rewards.
