I specifically said, “I agree that victims shouldn’t be empathetic to their abusers.” I also believe that is a much different dynamic than the one portrayed in the Netflix show that’s the topic of the piece we’re commenting on, where we (the audience) are on the outside looking in at a struggling comedian being

I did not take you wrong. I did not suggest you should reason with him or wait months to do something out of “concern” for your abuser. Nor did I bring up fake progressives to suggest that you are one.

I’m sorry what you went through, and am thankful it’s behind you, it sounds like it was harrowing. But I think you should reread that person’s response, I don’t think they “took you wrong” or took you to task at all, it was more a jumping off point to then share their thoughts and you took it personally and responded

Donny is also genuinely concerned about Martha’s mental health. She doesn’t get a heartfelt episode dedicated to her psyche, but Gunning’s breathtaking performance fleshes it out anyway. Gunning leaves you gasping with fear yet invokes a disconcerting sensitivity to Martha’s plight.

Agreed.  I could hear a lot better with a full-face helmet on when speeds got above 25-30mph.

Once you’re at speed, I’m not even sure how much you’re hearing over wind noise.

A corollary to the not using the seat belt opinion is not wearing a helmet on a motorcycle because (a) it blocks vision and hearing and (b) there is a chance the neck strap could break your neck in an accident. A is true, but very minor compared to the benefits, and B is also true, but that chance is like 1% (in other

nailed it!

That was certainly a defiant finale! I’ve always loved the Seinfeld finale since it originally aired, and was confused by the backlash that started immediately afterwards and basically never went away. It’s not like there’s been some kind of “it was good, actually” reappraisal over the last 25+ years. But I’ll always

He seems to be implying that if the person was wearing a mask, they must have a communicable disease and so he felt unsafe sitting next to them. He himself seems bound and determined to make himself as susceptible to communicable diseases as he possibly can and assumes it is everybody else’s responsibility to keep him

There’s a weird conservative tendency to think they are being attacked by simply being in a presence of someone who they assume has more liberal values than they do.

I hope the told him in a language he understood...

I am really, REALLY curious how someone else wearing a mask affects him.

I mean no offense to anyone, it’s just that I’m a special kind of asshole who thinks he’s better than other people.”

I am sure that this guy is not the main problem with Yellowstone. But he can’t be helping either

I ain’t drunk. But they throwed me off the plane ’cause I’m drunk”

Giving smart phones to boomers was a mistake.

“I refuse to sit next to someone who is considerate enough to wear a mask in public.  I mean, what kind of twisted freak tries to limit the spread of contagions to others?  Who does that?”

What a snowflake.

Anyone that is that insistent that they aren’t drunk is absolutely drunk. In other news, what an utter child.
