Oh my gosh, this is so sad, what a legend. From Rocky to Predator, to his recent turns in The Mandalorian. Baby, let’s all toss a bone in a pot with some broth and a potato and get a stew goin’ in his honor.

What an absolute legend, and by all accounts, seems to have been a terrific human being. What a big loss.

Elon still won’t let you suck his dick.

Any article about Tesla is going to be a hit piece because they’re piles of garbage.

“Voluntary recall” almost always means that NHTSA went to the vendor and said “There’s a problem, and you don’t seem to be fixing it. It sure would be a shame if the government had to issue a recall instead of you doing it yourself. Sure would be a shame.” The UI on the right is FAR superior.

This. There are very few non-hack uses of jump scares in media. Making you jump in response to sudden movement and loud noises isn’t scary, it’s simply startling. If you you could replace the thing doing the jump-scare with an adorable kitten and it would be just as effective, you’re a hack. Horror needs to be earned.

I disagree about the weenies thing because the "jump scares" were more annoying than scary. It felt like a some Slenderman nonsense. Worst part the game is scarier when they're used sporadically and not as often as they did.

I remember Saga and I at the exact same time saying, “For ****’s sake” in complete unison at a completely self-aware and cheap jump scare that I’m sure neither of us was even slightly rattled by.

These kind of “sudden static-filled screen and screeching” jumpscares are the reason I never played through the Fatal Frame games. Having a tense moment, and monster jumping out is one thing. Having just a completely unrelated loud noise and light event purely caused by your tv, separate from the game world? That

Jump scares are a cheap crutch. The game doesn’t need them.

I think only one of the jumpscares in the game actually “got” me (like about dropped my controller got me), but in a game I otherwise really enjoyed, I found the jumpscares cuts to be mostly annoying more than anything.

We’re already up to like half the number of layoffs for all of 2023. What an absolutely brutal industry.

It’s deli meat. If it’s ordinary ham/salami/turkey coming from the plant then slicing at the counter does nothing except look good. This is just foolishness on Subway’s part.

I know Jersey Mike’s, I served with Jersey Mike’s, and you Sir, are no Jersey Mike’s.

I work at shoprite, don’t make much more than minimum wage - and I can tell you at least in my store, on my shift those slicers are cleaned so well I’d happily serve my own grandmother anything off them. Not all of us are lazy and incompetent - in fact most of the people I work with bust their rears every shift.

Okay, now I’m reaching the point where it would have just been nice to have an actual FF7 remake.

They aren’t remakes.

This review barely has any focus on the differences between game versions, which is kind of a waste since we can just read the general reviews from four years ago.

you’re right, but i do like when developers branch out. rocksteady just picked a horrible branch.

If you want to play a modern version of the good Arkham games, just play Insomniac’s Spiderman. Bespoke, narrative side-quests and detailed environments crafted with clear intention - along with that sort of ‘dodge and parry when this icon is above your head’ gameplay that, when done right, feels slick as hell.
