I think sexual agency is a tricky thing, but I think there is a difference between two people who grow close while working together, when they actually get to know each other, as opposed to two people who see each other purely as sex objects. While I personally am not bothered if two people mutually view each other

And yet apparently the many defenders of Jack Nicholson on Jezebel of all places don't find that creepy. :(

Right, because calling attention to the fact that a famous and much-feted Hollywood director who admitted to drugging and raping an underage girl yet is given a complete pass by the majority of Hollywood and many film fans... can be dismissively characterized as someone who is "trying to reheat the beans of the Roman

Jane Fonda, or Lena Dunham, and Jamie Lee Curtis have power, money, prestige, etc., yet they were still offended by Seth MacFarlane's 'We Saw Your Boobs' routine because it exacerbates the sexism and misogyny in Hollywood and the Academy, which often transcends female actors' power, prestige, money and clout because

Not sure what you're saying here: the comparing of the imbalance in the power dynamic is between the two of them, not between them vs. the rest of the world, because the discussion was about Jack Nicholson and Jennifer Lawrence...?

As for the term "womanizer", if it is a problematic term, let me know what would be a

That's bad. :(

At the very least, they should code into the game the ability for MMO clients to work in a P2P mode so you and your friends can play together online in a shared world, without the need for a central server. So long as no one is trying to profit off it, I don't see why companies would have a problem with it.

Yeah, it's difficult to discern whether someone had an addictive personality prior to playing an MMO, or if they developed an addiction after playing it for so long. It could even be a bit of both, considering the way MMOs are designed to be Massively Addictive Time and Money Sinks (MATaMS? ;P).

I'm of two ways about that: on the one hand, I cut my teeth playing hardcore Player-Kill MUDs (well, maybe not _that_ hardcore because there was no permadeath, except on Armageddon ;P), where you could kill and full loot people with impunity.

On the other hand, it was a hell of a lot easier on those games to reequip

I'm more bothered by allegations of Jennifer Lawrence's trans*phobia (Pro-tip: calling one's cat 'Chaz Bono' because the cat is female but acts male _is_ offensive - http://www.newnownext.com/jennifer-lawre…).

Definitely disappointed that Ellen Degeneres let it slide.

Power differential is the issue, and Jack Nicholson has considerably more clout in the industry than JLaw. To abuse that position of power to skeeve on a young actress considerably younger and with less power than him is creepy, and his male privilege prevents him from seeing it.

It was just as creepy when Leonardo

Okay, I admit I laughed at that. ;)

Once you tell anyone you like them as more than just friends, things change.

You tried to change the nature of the friendship. It failed, and you have to face the consequences. That's the case no matter who you are, regardless of sex, gender, orientation. If you can't handle that, then you shouldn't take that risk.

Heh, I like your name too. :)

Plausible deniability:

"Whoever wins within the Continental United States, will receive this painting delivered by me personally," Zimmerman said to a commenter on the auction site.

... and hopefully when he shows up at their door, the owner of the residence will deem him to be acting suspiciously, with a suspicious package, and you know,

Just realized that was a double entendre: I meant 'sacked' in the football sense, not any sexual connotation.

Whoever wrote that tweet should have been, ahem, 'sacked'. :P

Yeah, I had to stop following at least one woman's boards because she was all Tea Party crazy, which I didn't realize when I followed her (probably because she followed me first and I felt obliged). But most of her pins were guns, religion and anti-Obama stuff (often all together).

This part doesn't sound that bad: "and to remind her to only date boys who will treat her like a Queen".

Kind of cheesy, definitely heteronormative, but it could be seen as sweet if what he's saying is he wants his daughter to remember that she deserves to be with someone who will treat her right, and that she
