Thanks for the reply Hobo!
ireally like it too. as for the Digimon thing, I hope you know that Hosoda, the director made the first Digimon movie... and if not, now you know. I know others on the internet consider this film a copy of his old film with the family stuff added on. ( i can’t say myself having never seen digimon 1)
Thank you for the comments! I will say, with the benefit of hindsight, that I believe I slightly failed in arguing my actual intended meaning in my “equal opportunity” section in this article. (To be frank, it was my first attempt at doing this type of analysis, so next time I will be more careful). I was not really…
Basically, the discord chatroom is just that, a chatroom. and while the infrastructure is there for Voice chat, not everyone has microphones (and I think talking over a movie would be more annoying) so we rarely use it. We don’t stream the movie, everyone just watches their own copy at home while the chatroom runs…
That’s great... I won’t get hopes up for seeing it “soon” until theatres start offering preorders for tickets. Until then it could still take 10 years for all we know. :P
what do you think our conversations are like? :P
you don’t, as all versions should have the same running time/editing you are free to use your version of choice. I myself am happy with either, though i do find dubs a lot nicer to watch while doing the chatroom stuff
yes, you do, but it’s a simple process and can be accessed by an web browser, desktop program, or mobile app. it’s a simple and quick process though. I suggest trying to be online 10-15min before start time. hope to see you there!
as far as I can tell, Bandai originally released a DVD with their dub in 2009, and the recent Funimation release keeps the old Bandai/Ocean Dub. So to answer the question, no I don’t think there is any reason to worry about different versions.
With all of our colabs, we don’t usually give “where to watch” because our team is a global one, and each territory is different in what each service holds. We are also confident in your ability to use the search engine of your choice if there is indeed a show you don’t know where to find.
“I barley remember anything of mine.”
if you so wish, go right ahead
This was definitely an emotional roller coaster. Silent War was especially hard to watch for me, emotionally at least. The mind games pplaced on earth branch were just infuriating, but at least there was some emotional payoff in My Friend. I really hope Takaki really gets more screen time, just so we can see how…
I couldn’t have that better myself. I’m glad you liked the peice. (i had been very unsure at the beginning if i even wanted to try writing it. Though im happy with the reception it has gotten.)
(its on the cover too for berserk musou too fyi)
yeha mostly the tip of the iceberg. I mntion most of the rape scenes in the article, but I was still somewhat uncofortable with showing the more graphic scenes in all their drawn “glory” in the article itself. berserk often isn’t “fun” to read, but it is precisely that it can deal with such dark subjects that i found…
I can’t blame you for that response. Personally even with all of the horrible imagry, I found Berserk to be eminantly facinating and amazing work. The artwork gets progressively more amaazing through the books, and the story remains consistantly strong, even as it goes through all these dark and troubling themes. I…
While, I’ll concede that your assertion seems intuitive (I’m not up on the statistics myself) I will argue that in media representation, sexual violence against men is seldom used, much less then i would guess it happens in real life. This whole topic of course is part of a overall conversation of the use of trauma…
