I was in the beta for this and really enjoyed it. You craft and upgrade equipment, and the combat was enjoyable - not punishing, but more interactive than just tapping. It’s mainly quest based progression, at least at first. 

Not really sure why anyone thought this would do anything anyway.

Definitely interested in this. Missions in Ingress are similar but are more of a point to point to point, this seems like you can free trace any path anywhere. I’m also curious about the rewards. Some routes might exist just for rewards which could junk up things, so hopefully the better routes will rise to the top or…
