What they signed is ONLY what matters if what they signed clearly indicated it was not a game show but a reality show, which I suspect was the case. I also suspect that people didn’t read it closely or didn’t care because they were excited to do it.

This. There are specific rules regarding game shows. This was definitely not a game show and I’m sure the contestants signed something saying they producers could basically give the money to whoever they wanted to. 

You don’t need a flowchart, it’s all going alt-right or right wing. None of them are joining the party that at least pretends to be pro-woman/pro-LGBTQ. 

This. I buy physical so I can also loan and trade games with friends. When it comes times to upgrade to the next system, I can sell the games and system for enough to get the next gen system and a couple of launch games. Switch carts are so tiny too and easy to store and carry!

I agree. I think their target market is kids and easy to use (and fairly inexpensive) hardware. And I mean, clearly, successful. 

I think you may also be overestimating how many people can do that or even want to bother; there’s more of a learning curve there than we probably think since we know how to do it. Sure, you and I think it’s easy, but some 40 year old dad who doesn’t own a desktop anymore may just want to throw easy money at the…

Just? Probably very few. As a selling point? Maybe more than we’d think.

I don’t mind having to buy the hardware as much - that’s the case for lots of items we use and buy. What I resent is having to pay over and over again for the same game or paying a monthly fee to access said games. 

We’re about to come full circle back to cable again, with all these mergers.
