I’m guessing these places are also places people do all their grocery shopping, and I’m also guessing these places only carry ultra processed food.

Didnt this exact ad and article happen like two years ago? Maybe I’ve just been seeing these ads for years but this doesnt feel new to me at all.

You have to factor for cost of living at the specific place. $50k means one thing in San Fransisco and another thing in Mobile, Alabama.

To be fair you were a teenager and he was 27, which is what I think it’s a sticking point for me. 

There’s a lot of right in what you’re saying. and you could make the point that his life since after is very close to redemption as you can get without being some crazy outlier. It’s not like he went on to be in the Klan. He seems pretty progressive. 

I mean those were pretty awful things to say back then. It wasn’t the 1950s when that was the majority opinion.
