I completely don’t get this. I get the paid part being a red flag but I don’t get the rest of it. 

So, pretend I don’t know anything about this game. Is it PvP? Why are these leagues a draw?

Of course they do. I picked up FFXIV last year and there’s more there than I’ll ever have time to do. WoW also has a lot of old content to do.

One of the things I enjoy doing is checking out older MMOs that have built up some content, so if I like it, I have a lot to do. It sounds like they’ve cut all that out. 

I’ve always been meaning to check this game out, but all these changes make me want to check it out less.

Who is going to be “called away” from their family gathering (that you most likely shouldn’t be having anyway during a pandemic) for a video game....?

It’s also clever of them to say people “oppose the military” - no, we just want you to stop committing war crimes. 

I think the point many of us are making here is that there are many circumstances where people are overly sensitive.

No, the point some of us are making is that simple depiction of something isn’t always or often appropriation.

Maybe demanding everyone respect you is a bad thing, when the level of respect you want is unrealistic. 

Why does everything have to be in its original context? Can’t something be used as inspiration? Are countries only allowed to make games set in their own country?
