I don’t believe you pay the taxes there. They explicitly told me I wouldn’t get my prizes ($6,000 and a desk clock I won to get on stage) until the show aired, so they wouldn’t have people pay taxes before it airs. (They took the taxes out of the $6,000 for me so I didn’t have to worry about it.)
