Been looking forward to this one for a bit, glad it’s finally debuting in Canada this last week as well. I’m watching Warrior, which this show has been somewhat compared to (ie, an action show on TV that doesn’t suck), and since that show is sadly ending, this will have to pick up the slack.

His new show is the most generic of generic sitcoms, but hey, he’s getting a payday, and I’m glad at least one member of that talented cast has found a paying gig even if I have no intention of watching it. 

From now on all of Ariel Pink’s albums will be exclusive to Substack.

OK, fair enough. But at worst, that’s just a bad headline. If the text was the same, the author got it.

Right, in the end, it’s a car company. There is no way you can look at it now, and in the future, and think it’s worth a hundred times other car companies. You can say “it’s worth more than a 10 price multiple based on X, Y, and Z”, but I’m not sure anyone can justify what the price is today.

Right. And they are in a kind of agreement with other stock holders - buy it from me for a profit, someone will buy it from you for a profit, and hopefully someone else is holding it when the thing crashes back to reality. Each person in the chain knows the game, they are inflating it with the hope that they aren’t…

The article never once makes the claim that this is the amount of money the stock market put into Tesla. The wording is always about what it values the company at. No one is saying in this post that this is money given to Tesla..so I’m not sure what you’re on about.

I’ve always liked the Big Crunch KFC has always had. Is this replacing that?

That doesn’t address the comment though - they said they would slow down and not oversaturate the market with Star Wars due to a few failures (one real, Solo, one not as real, ROTS made money!). But then one hit, a TV show, and suddenly “crank the knob to 11, lets’ make all the Star Wars again!!!!!”. 

I don’t have issue with knocking it before the shows come out. It’s 10! 10 shows about one “universe”, with the majority announced existing on the peripheral, stories about side characters side characters, all to make sure nothing happens that could jeopardize potential future stories for movies.

Remember like 2 years ago when they were trying to make a movie a year, and Solo bombed, and then Rise of the Sky Walker came out and made 300M less than Last Jedi and Disney was all “maybe we should pull back on this, fans are growing tired”.

Yeah...I’ll just wait for Spider-Verse 2.

I liked this one, too bad. Great cast.

YOu may say he’s not the star, but the first movie, it was very much like that. He and Ridley traveling together, fighting together, etc. He was in the action. In the second movie, which is my favorite of the 3, he was sent on side missions. He still had a big part, but no longer was he in any way integral to anything…

I think what happened was he thought the series was making him Ridley’s love interest, and he maybe blames Johnson for ending that and pushing the Rey/Ren story. So while Johnson did give his character an arc and something to do in the movie taking a lot of the running time, it was a “side” thing, not a “star” thing.

Right, and he had that ending scene where he was going to sacrifice himself and it was a big moment. Each of the characters he mentions had a major moment in TLJ. I can’t remember anything he did in ROS, and I only watched it a month ago. 

He really lets his personal like of Abrams change his comments. JJ is the one who shunted Tran off to the side in the last movie. For better or worse, he and Tran had an actual arc in movie 2. In movie 3, i barely knew they were in it. But he likes Abrams, so he puts it all on Disney.

1. Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island

Agreed. I barely knew about this show, and didn’t even hear about  “Bless this mess” until it was recently cancelled, and “New Girl” was one of my favorite comedies ever (rewatching now with my girlfriend, still holds up!). 

The Portuguese also devour these as a bar snack, or just a regular at home snack when you have guests over. I’m always surprised when something I grew up with is revealed to be this hidden thing others don’t know about lol
