It’s not even luxury hotels I think. I was just chatting with my coworkers about places to stay in Mexico or the Dominican, good affordable places they liked. Talking to actual humans you know seems to be what regular people do, an instagram post doesn’t really tell me anything.

The media needs to stop using my name in TV shows and movies in such a way that people can use those shows and movies to make fun of me. “We have to talk about Kevin”, “Kevin can wait”, now “Kevin can fuck himself.” Use a different name. Like Steve.

New York definitely has more high end restaurants that are probably highly ranked, but for regular food, you can get that shit anywhere.

New Yorkers are so weird with their “this basic ass food isn’t available anywhere else”. The NYT’s ran a stupid story a few years ago about kaiser buns with fucking margarine in cellophane wrappers as if it was a culinary marvel only available in new york.

That’s why 90% of the restaurants in the city are now owned by the same big 3 restaurant investor groups, so few can afford the stupid high rent.

It turned 1 story into two poorly paced movies that didn’t feel like full movies on their own. I think it’s clear from watching both parts that 1 movie with a more tightly plotted story would have been the far better option.

If it is legit two movies, like Avengers most recent movies, I’m fine with it. If it’s literally one movie cleaved in two like HP, fuck it, worst trend in hollywood, and I thought it died with that idiotic franchise killing Divergent series that never even got part 2 of the final movie.

Bernie’s campaign slogan is us, not me, or something like that. So this person is just regurgitating the campaign slogan.

People forget that even with 60 senators, a veto proof majority, Democrats still had to rely on squish middle of the pack centrist and right leaning Democratic senators. Even if they get to 52 or 53 Senators, that will include Manchin. That will include Sinema. That will include some other center or center right…

I hate that “main character should have died”. Maybe in this case it’s even true (I don’t agree), but so many people lack the imagination to go beyond “when the shows done, so should his life be”. 

Yeah, you may be right there. Buu introduced power ups on top of power ups. Fusion, the god training, more fusion, etc. The Cell saga was still all about power for powers sake, but it was a bit better than what came after (and I’m convinced Super is just a parody mocking fans for liking that style...)

The other shonen popular manga, use power ups to advance the plot. DB uses “plot” (and I use that loosly) to advance power ups. The newer DB stuff (Super) is almost comicially bad at this, with new Super Saiyan forms being created weekly all in service of more and more power ups, with the flimsiest of plot hung around…

While those other shonen manga are definetly have power ups, they aren’t specifically about those powerups in the way DB was (after the Saiyans were introduced).
