The skills are indeed different. Nevertheless, a champion boxer with nearly a foot in height, massive reach, and 100 pounds, in superb condition who actually fights for a living will ruin a guy that much smaller than him.

The proof of bad writing is JJ did have some different plot threads, but they stretched them beyond parody. I think they stretched Trish’s heel turn over 2 season and made her increasingly insufferable in that time. “Just fucking get on with it already”.

Right, i never understood why they had to make everything part of the story arc. A show I wish these emulated was “Banshee”, which did long form arcs, but also had one off episodes that weren’t connected (but that still furthered the characters and story, while not being about the main arc). I didn’t have an issue with the scene. It was played for laughs, and honestly...Bruce Lee wasn’t this invincible killing machine. He was a guy who knew martial arts, but was 5'7", 140 pounds. Ali was 6'3", 230 pounds. He would ruin Lee in a fight most likely.
