I wouldn't generalize that much, they are mislead by a marketing machine, that used to be gold. They lost their edge when the iPhone 4 came out. The "You're holding it wrong" was an insult that nobody else could have gotten away with, and I'm still surprised they did. With Stevie gone, you can see the cult rumbling…

People I know buy Android phones because with that they have better a better OS that is free to customize as they like, are beautiful (HTC One X), but certainly not because they are cheap. They are way better value for money that is true.

Having a photographed all too many festivals as a photo journalist, I have to say, that's a heavy and expensive bag. He'll be hurting every evening, but it's still way more awesome than working in a factory ;)
