I can respect that, appreciation of art is subjective. I don’t feel he’s sincere in his messages (or at least assured enough as an artist to back them up). I don’t resent people for enjoying his work though. I’m glad you do.

Glad del Toro has finally gotten the Oscars he really deserves (although only by making his most Oscar-bait film yet) and that Jordan Peele didn’t walk away empty-handed, but Get Out should have been the best picture winner, no matter how much I love The Shape of Water.

Although...Andy Serkis was really great in Black Panther with only a CGI arm. He did a fantastic job of being imposing and convincingly scary, and, at the same time, gonzo and weirdly likable.

I liked most of the new movie - the characters, the costumes, and the regular Zords. But I will say that I wasn’t a fan of the new Megazord. It just didn’t feel enough like 5 individual things combined, I want to be able to see which part is which.
