But...milk ISN’T particularly healthy for teens? Water is far better for you once you aren’t a baby anymore. Milk and juice are both pushed as super healthy options when they just aren’t.

Personally, I’d rather eat at a place with perfectly fine food and a fun/unique environment or spectacle. Those places stick out far more prominently in my mind than someplace with really good food (which is pretty subjective) and charge $$$ to eat at. I remember Rainforest Café, Planet Hollywood and Medieval Times so

I love Rainforest Café. The rare times I’m in Chicago or Minneapolis, I really enjoy going (second only to Medieval Times, which is a LOT more expensive). I know their food isn’t the top, most bestest quality ever, but it’s a place you go for the atmosphere, not so much the food. And Rainforest Café reminds me a lot

(gripes on how unclearly the show establishes it’s timelines aside) and development. And there’s definitely some improvements over the source material.”

No kidding. I can’t drink coffee or alcohol without having to pee 8 times. Once I had three cocktails (weaker - I don’t like particularly strong drinks), and sipped water. Went home and, after a few hours, felt an incredible wave of dizziness. I think I was more affected by the dehydration than I was the alcohol

Most of your water intake you get from food and whatever you’re drinking, be it plain water or not. I’m all for encouraging people to drink water rather than (so much) juice, pop, etc. But I do think the mantras listed above border on the ridiculous side.

As much as I like the sign, I’d probably end up paying more if I didn’t read it, lol. Not that I’m ever rude to servers/baristas/cashiers, but I’d likely say something like, “Hi, I’ll have a XXX.” and smile. Followed by a thank you when it’s delivered. I don’t feel that’s any less polite, personally. But maybe they

I’m kinda with you. It’s totally possible for someone to pause their music, but leave an ear bud in while they order. Probably because they plan on resuming their music (or podcast or whatever) after ordering. Personally, I wouldn’t care if someone had a bud in, as long as it wasn’t a problem during the ordering

Going to work when you have the flu because you need to get paid isn’t really that comparable to flying to another country to eat out when you’re showing symptoms of a quickly spreading disease and, oh yeah, you’re from the country or origin. Most people who are just a bit sick don’t worry about dodging airport

I assumed it just got translated funny.

Except examples of Chinese people being shitty tourists isn’t limited to only this one instance...

I’ve actually read an article documenting how shitty Chinese tourists often are. I’m not trying to hate on the Chinese people as a whole - I think most of it came down to very large cultural differences that are less exaggerated between Western countries. And how people in Chinese cities, especially Shanghai, are so

My feisty boy often tries (and sometimes succeeds, probably more than I know) to dunk his fuzzy paw into my coffee and lick it off. I obviously don’t normally give it to him, but I also don’t think the brief licks are going to harm him, either. Like you said, the poor little things probably appreciated the warmth. I’m

Wait, Bastion is now available by default? I just completed the strike and got it last night. Was that a waste of time?

Not sure why people feel so strongly about Yelp. I’ve used it a number of times while traveling and I’ve never been disappointed. It brings up what’s available - it’s not giving you a single option you must abide by. You browse through the options and take your pick. Like much of the internet, it’s entirely what you

OMG, YES, just take it. Good grief.

I feel you, fellow olive despiser.

I mean, shitty people will, sure. Most anyone worth talking to won’t. My brother’s girlfriend craves IPAs while my brother mostly can’t stand them. I’m not even a beer drinker to begin with. There might be some light teasing, but we’re all in on the joke. No one is actually out to say anything shitty about someone

You mean the darker gray-colored flash between the skin and the rest of the flesh? Isn’t that where most of the omega-3s are? It’s delicious! Just eat it along with the crispy skin.

Most people just can’t get it fresh, consistently. I have my huge bag of frozen fillets, and while I’m perfectly aware it isn’t the absolute most bestest salmon money can buy, it’s still salmon, and it still tastes like salmon. I have gotten fresh fish before, and sure it’s good, but far less convenient to get.
