Great article. One small quibble, we got 12 maps at launch, 3 of them are just focused on MP War, but it’s still MP (it’s not Zombies or story mode).

Question for everyone playing this: So is there enough content to enjoy Single Player / Story only? Or is the majority of the grinding and unlocking having to play Online Deathmatch?

It’s still awful no matter what: Loot Boxes for a random chance at cars and other chase items (and you buy more with real money) just caused me to CANCEL my Forza 7 Pre-Order.

This is pretty disappointing. Madhouse is legendary for its fight / combat animation and panache.

Heck yah! Director Watanabe is a perfect fit for Blade Runner. His Cowboy Bebop is still an all-time masterpiece and fits the mood and style in many ways.

I really liked War Mode. Team-based objectives, you and others on your team rush to try and overtake a stronghold, or build a bridge to get your tank across; try to bomb the enemy’s supply depot, and then push ahead to get your tank to the enemy AA guns (so that your Allied fighter squadron of planes can safely move…

Happy for the remake (out of nowhere, surprise), but please Square-Enix: Release it Dual Audio with OG Japanese Language and English Subtitles, because that “kid’s” voice in the English trailer is AWFUL. (>_<) Did they just grab a random QA tester to do the voice or what?

Chun is slightly better, but still pretty awful looking. The 3D modeler / character designs have been getting worse and worse (after Capcom lost all of their best artists (Kinu, Akiman, Benu, etc.). Sad.

The other fundamental issue is the Olympics happens once every 4 YEARS. The time it takes teams from each country to practice, and perfect their strategies...

I think this is a huge step forward for a more stable player base for playing professionally. Good for Blizzard / Overwatch League for trying to create a viable platform for all players (and not just the winning team who takes home the lion’s share of the prize money (like other esports)).

Totally agree Cecilia. Great article. Most of my friends have stopped playing Overwatch this season because of this awful Competitive change (artificially lower SR).
