I mean, it does march you right to it. It’s right in front of you when the cut scene ends. You have to walk right past it to get to the stairs. There is an NPC you can talk to that says you should go down there. Plus the glowing message on the ground. It’s not fucking hidden in any way.

I mean the only way you “miss it” is if you don’t both to look around which is in and of itself a lesson in these games.

I like to leave useful messages. Getting randomly healed when someone approves it is pretty neat.

That’s actually impossible in normal gameplay. The hold doesn’t allow invasions or attacks in that area. However, if you jump off the balcony there’s an NPC invader who will try to kill you.

The concept of NFTs, the technical concept of them, really is interesting. How that concept is currently being applied is not.

How’s the boot taste?

As a first entry in a new series, of course it will take some growing into.

“This is a great foundation for future games to build on” has been the running mantra for every mainline Pokémon game since 2013.

I’m very much in the “art direction beats graphical fidelity” camp, but this game doesn’t really seem to have much of either. And the level of pop-in I’ve seen in some of these videos goes beyond a graphical issue and becomes a gameplay issue.

It’s funny how often the “every game should be for everyone” apostles fail to see the flaw in their reasoning when they instantly make an amalgamation between a community and its toxic vocal minority.

Everyone’s talking about the feat itself, which is incredible, but also From Soft’s sound direction is what made it possible to begin with.  Having sound design so precise and excellent that a person could play the game blindfolded is a pretty amazing compliment to the game’s sound design team.

You might say the same about musical performances. This is actually quite similar as the only practical purposes is entertaining and it's similar memorization.
