I never understood this myth. What is the big deal about 80 pounds? I've ran 6+ miles with a 160+ lb. partner on my back every morning for 2 weeks while training before. If I can do that, then I'd expect an elite soldier to do half as much on a planet with less gravity.

Let me fix your problem for life:

Learning C isn't even that hard. It was my first language and I did fine with it. I don't see why others are arguing to let them learn something like Python first simply because it is easier. If C is too hard for someone, then they honestly shouldn't consider a career in programming in the first place.
