the amount of apologetic articles appearing about this fucking game is worse than the tedium of playing it

I'm a big fan of the idea of a stealth launch. Game hype has become so bloated that I'll often lose interest before the game is actually out, even if the product lives up to the hype. And if you have a legendary franchise on your hands, stealth launching would probably attract more media attention than trying to grab

If they don’t like what HL3 is shaping up to be at some point, they just scrap it and go back to the drawing board. And I guess they’re even more prone to that now because of the huge pressure of what a Half-Life would mean at this point.

This this so much this. This would be the absolutely perfect way for them to release the game.

The old Duke Nukem Forever development trap. DNF had finished product once upon a time, only to be scrapped when new shiny hardware/engine was made available or some other studio released something groundbreaking. The moral of the story, you could have made 2-3 great games in the last 10 years, instead we have zero

*sigh*

I’d still love for it to simply show up one day on Steam to the surprise of everyone who isn’t a Valve employee.

May i ask why you dont want to use an adblock?
