"This PC gender crap has gone too far. Why can't it be a MALE astronaut getting pregnant?!?!"

I kinda believe Simmons that he's never been drunk or done drugs.

I guess I should try playing the first Banner Saga again, but the last time I tried the Android version was insufferable on my Shield tablet:

… urgh. The whole experience mostly brought back flashbacks of C64

I'm probably the only person on the planet who really likes Brain Drain. The worst Ramones album is clearly Halfway to Sanity.

Nothing wrong with going for gold, many fine albums have been made that way. Having said that, as much as I think Pleasant Dreams is underrated, Too Tough to Die is a later and better album.

To me much of the stuff on American Idiot sounds like their earlier efforts, but with more radio-friendly production and added political sentiment (Holiday for example sounds like pretty much any song on Warning). I'd say a more believable theory is that the band went "we didn't sell that many albums the last time

Key vigilante film trope (that already appears in all Death Wish films) is that the gangs are always multi ethnic - even in situations where it makes zero sense.

My favorite bit about the "we're in Germany" stuff was when Nick and Monroe got out of their car and the body doubles they used for the actors looked -nothing- like them. The dude who was supposed to be Nick was roughly 100lbs heavier and had a different hair cut.

Kinda relevant: Anybody interested in hearing Cliff play should check out Metallica on Spotify. At least for me that whatever-remix-they-use is the first time I can actually hear him playing (and he's superb).

Nah, the report was from the same week. Somebody in Grimm prop department just forgot their geography, as amusingly enough the Czech text has the name of the country correct in the same report: http://i.imgur.com/VIwSaZl.png

Hah, I was hoping I wasn't the only one who noticed that. Come on now Grimm, Czech Republic is 20+ years old.

I'll never understand why this doesn't have five billion views. Easily the best thing on Youtube.

Has anybody ran into any good Android games recently?

Ancillary Justice is the best SF book in years so good to hear the series doesn't disappoint (*cough*Hyperion*cough*). I'll definitely read the other two

I'm actually just reading Cibola Burn and liking it so far (third of the way through), so really waiting for Nemesis Games which I gather is the best of the series.

What were the best scifi books of 2015? I have some extra time coming up so looking forward to filling my kindle with some great speculative fiction

Yeah, Friese seems to be bored with actual games and rather toy with how games are designed and played. Which for me as a player is terrible - I'd rather take 1 well designed game than 504 kinda-meh-at-best efforts.

Reading the headline I thought for a second that American Ninja was going to be made into a tv-show. What an awesome film series that was, Michael Dudikoff (who takes home the award for "dude with least martial arts skills starring in a martial arts film") running around random jungles kicking ninja ass.

Here's how it works:
