I have to agree with majority of AV Club about the first season: if you look at AV Club's coverage of season 1, highest grade is a lone B and comments mostly laugh about how bad the show was. Season 2 (and 3) was excellent though, the biggest improvement in any tv-show between seasons I can think of.
