People tend to forget that even some of the earliest releases in video gaming history had stuff like that, even if it was a "bit" more pixelated. It's not like the industry has suddenly changed.

I paid 1/3 of the current price for my copy of Arma III that way. Inpatience and dedication(I would have bought it anyways) were the main reasons to get it as an Alpha Release. Didn't disappoint me so far.

You can only play all these games on a 4yr old computer because consoles drag down the quality of new releases. Just like XB1 might do with the PS4.
