I think that some digital versions use alternate audio tracks for commentary, which I think, technically, is how DVDs do it as well (the commentary track is encoded in the same way as the French, Spanish, etc. audio would be.)

I’ve downloaded off the old yabetariP and streamed them off sites like 1movies. There are LOTS of crappy digital camera/phone recordings of movies on torrent sites - they are getting better though. 2017 cam recordings are way better than 2007 cam recordings.

I can’t find the article for reference, but cutting one’s self off from the Force is canon in one of the new canon comics. I didn’t read it myself, just read about it, but the plotline features the discovery of a group of Jedi who abandoned the republic Jedi order and cut themselves off from the Force.
