@Eddard: Folding@home is something you could do with it, and do something useful for science.

This is the first Friday I have had off in over 100 days (had minor surgery yesterday, taking a couple days of R&R.)

@LegacyCrono: Satellite internet is what I have at home, and I live in the middle of nowhere. It's currently only about .5MB/s though, better than dial-up, but still makes me shake my fist at my monitor sometimes.

Vote: Meebo

@UmbertoCabbageton: I would think it is good thing that Microsoft will never offer an OS like OSX.

@LegacyCrono: I saw a story the other day (can't remember where, but I swear I did) that claimed that satellite internet technology will be able to support speeds up to 20MB/s. Nothing amazing, but definitely enough for the beginnings of universal cloud computing.

@pjcard: Yeah, but not built into Windows from the ground up. I don't think there are viable options to run the entire OS from the cloud yet, only applications.

@pjcard: Everything you run, would be based on a server somewhere else. There would be little to no local storage on the client machine, only a MoBo, processor, Video Card and some RAM. But it would take advantage of the client side hardware a lot more than current web apps currently do. Kind of like hardware

@smurph0404: You would be surprised at the confusion people have when trying to get Office, or trying to download iTunes when they get an iPod. A centralized market could be helpful for a large portion of the population.

@aeiluindae: With Vista and WIN7, a BSOD can only be caused by faulty hardware, not software crashes.

@Dodge2002: Everything runs pretty crappy on my 3G. Sending a text is usually a multi-minute affair.

@MEGATORN: my 3G crapped out on me again tonight. Hopefully this will be my last restore with iOS, I plan on getting a Captivate soon. (family plan on AT&T, no Droids for me)

@jia683: I haven't played it on Android, but on the iPhone it is nothing spectacular at all when it comes to graphics.

@Canon7D-Fanboy: I don't always agree with your words, but I like the perspective of this comment.

@FeodoraChautauqua: I have a question, do you specifically not allow a handset to see your app in the market, or does it have to be based on other things like processor speed and screen resolution?

@mawcs: When I say fragmented, I mean that the platform has many different forms of the software and hardware that must be dealt with. But I am not a developer, so I can't say how much of a problem that really is. Fragmented is the buzz word associated with that problem, but I can't think of a better word for it.

@Jammacz22: Fragmentation due to extreme growth is somewhat ok.

@Felix Kishinevsky: I think what they mean is that they didn't specifically test the app on that specific phone. So even though it should (and obviously does) run fine on the G2, they just made that list to cover their asses in case someone makes a complaint.

@Odin: I agree that Android is big, and growing.
