@chris0089: I don't have any hard facts to back me up, but I do the same thing on an old Mac laptop I just use as a podcast downloader/torrent box/media server now, and is plugged in 24/7.

@Spyrus21: Handbrake can be used for that as well. There are other encoders, but Handbrake is the most reliable in my experience.

@jupiterthunder: That seems to be a feature they took away awhile back. I have heard commentors of olden days on Giz say that editing used to delete pics, but I have commented on Gawker for about 9 months now, and I have never had that happen to me.

@chris0089: Version 0.9.3 has the option to output as .avi. It is an option they took away with 0.9.4, they claim it is an outdated codec that needs to be dropped.

The industry that Foxconn is in most likely operates on very thin margins. They bid out jobs in competition with other companies, and to get the bids they must have the lowest offer. If any part of their supply line, (materials, labor, energy cost) increases, then they are forced to either increase prices on the goods…

@NorwoodIsMyHero: I think you are agreeing with me, albeit slightly. Your use of the word "educate" in it's various tenses 7 times is throwing me off though, this feels like a trap.

@toxic: I will agree with your statements, with one exception to your claim that miseducation is the reason people eat or use harmful products on themselves.

@maven2k: I didn't know if he meant that, or the other plan I have heard which would be to release movies to various streaming services (Amazon, Netflix, iTunes) at the same time they are released in theaters.

@GoldVrod: I see what you are saying now. They would obviously continue sending those required discs.

@GoldVrod: The Wii and the PS3 have a disc that has to be inside at all times when you are streaming Netflix, it's the same disc for anything you watch. It's not a disc of the movie, it's just for authentication.
