@Lacara: One of the replies I got was that Google is rolling it out as a demo just to show what it looks like, and will go back to being an option in a few days.

@Electric_Monkey: That was the main thing that I noticed. Sure it was only a few extra seconds to load, but if Google's main selling point is speed, I don't know why they would mess with that.
