I was ok with it being an option, but the picture being mandatory just went live which I find irritating.

What format are the resulting rips in, .iso, video_ts or something like .avi?

@walterbyrd: I use dropbox daily with Ubuntu. I have never had to "hack" anything. Download the installer, run it, and that's it.
