$15 isn’t anything to me if it’s tax-deductible. Can anyone confirm if it is, or should I just donate directly to BCRF?

I’m totally going in on this.
WAIT !!!! what????.. You have to PAY to back up your saves.. now thats a shameless cash grab to bundle what should be a free , useful feature, into an monthly payment structure.. just gross
This doesn’t excuse why you’d have to pay for a basic feature present in most computing devices since punchcards were a thing. This is scandalous.
Waiting for Rev. 2 hardware, what they released was a rushed unmitigated disaster.
I think the question is still very valid. Lapses in payments can be attributed to more than just the ability to afford it.
I’m still waiting for the good old Nintendo twist, such as “You can only back up one game at a time” or “It can only download the save back to the same Switch it originally came from.” Something that’ll warrant some good facepalm gifs the way Nintendo online usually does.
Last night, Nintendo announced that the Switch will be getting cloud-save backups in September. That means you have…
I want to light my Switch on fire.
It’s not the $20 that breaks the bank. It’s that I have to pay $20 if I want peace of mind for my save data and we still have to use that dumb app to voice chat
I get way more for that $60 than Nintendo could even fathom to offer. This for $20 is laughable. An app to voice chat, paywalled cloud saves, and NES games? Please, this thing blows chunks
Why is it when it’s f2p no matter the cost it’s a paywall but when it’s nintendo people try to play it down like it’s no biggie?
Oh yay, I get to pay to do something simple like backup my saves. Woot, Nintendo hits gold again
Locking back up saves behind a paywall? Jesus...
They’ve been pending announcing details since before the Switch launched and we’re already in the “we delayed this because nothing was ready” phase. If this is what they’ve hammered out at this point as their announcement, nothing else should realistically be expected. The fact that they’re continuing with their smart…
$20 really isn’t bad, however, that doesn’t seem to be the issue for a lot of people. A lot of people just want to ability to back up saves and aren’t interested in the online aspect. So if that’s all you really want the $20 becomes less of a value. Also, people want quality service if they are paying for…
For context, you can back up PS4 saves to a USB thumb drive without having to pay extra for it.
That is true, but paying 20$ for the only way to backup save games is disgusting.
This is not about the value of XBOX LIVE OR PSN or Nintendo’s interent service.
This is about locking the ONLY way to back up saves, behind a paywall.
PS3 and 360‘s servers are still up for sales and that system is far, far older than the WiiU. Heck, I think the PSP still has it’s shop up still.
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze was first released on the Wii U in 2014, and has previously available as a…
