They can’t all be great. Last month gave us MGS5.

It all makes sense now. Just the other day i was approached by andindividual claiming to work for Ubisoft who offered me a large amount of money to advertise Assassins Creed Origins on various gaming sites.

That’s kinda the point of the game. You’re supposed to feel bad about killing the Colossi and everything leading up to it. It was meta WAY before Bioshock was a twinkling in Ken Levine’s eye

The Detroit: Become Human trailer was absolutely tremendous and honestly it might be one of the best video game trailers I’ve ever seen. I just wanted to take control of that robot woman and beat the shit out of that dad and take that little girl away from there.

You gotta appreciate that Sony allows its developers the time to make great games. Guerrilla went from Killzone to Horizon, Naughty Dog from Jak to Uncharted to The Last of Us. And now Sucker Punch with Ghost of Tsushima. Granted there was no real gameplay but that tone piece was gorgeous.

On one hand, yes, Sony has a habit of announcing games years in advance and then showing us an endless number of trailers for them. (E3 2017 was basically a remake of E3 2016.) It can be exhausting.

That forest in the beginning of the Shadow of the Colossus demo they showed was so frigging gorgeous I couldn’t believe it was from that game until I saw the character moving around. I’m going to buy this again aren’t I?

Sony’s presentations are great at making me excited about PlayStation and then the months/years of waiting are great at squashing all of that excitement.

Knack 2 just came out

Naughty Dog blows me away with their engine every time. Those flexing muscles, veins and change in skin tone are amazing attention to detail.

Admittedly hard to watch, but if we say we want post-apocalyptic narratives, this is about as close to “what happens when all social order breaks down, and new power structures assert themselves” as we’re likely to get.

The animation on this game is absolutely breathtaking (no pun intended).

White people are capable of doing research, too.

That actually sounds pretty cool! There’s been a few JRPGs I’ve been interested in but not willing to pay full price for (tales of berseria, odin sphere, etc) so i guess this is the time!

They should focus on creating some new meaningful game experiences instead of redundant hardware revisions. As an owner of all three current gen consoles, I can safely say the XB1 is the least used, least cared about in our house.

Depends on whether you have a 4K tv with HDR. The Pro is a no brainer at that point. You’ll see less consistent bang for your buck if you still have just a 1080p TV. Some games may render at a higher resolution and then downscale to a sharper than typical 1080p presentation, and others may give you a typical 1080p

If you’ve got an HDR TV then get the Pro, the game looks amazing with that enabled. Otherwise standard PS4 is fine.

like everything related to the Switch. It sounds good until you start using it and you realize they cut tons of corners. Pretty much the story the last 7 months with a Switch.

I think the issue is that in 2017 people are more and more afraid of acknowledging some of the failings, incoherencies and fallacies that causes, people, movements and ideologies they align with so plainly have.

If you liked the Book of Mormon but don’t like South Park anymore, I’m extremely skeptical about the sincerity of any argument for the latter that isn’t “I don’t like it when they needle some of the absurd extremities people I agree with or sympathize with take their arguments to”.
