Mario x Rabbids might be the fun surprise, but XCOM 2: War of the Chosen is going to be certified tactical RPG gold. Firaxis always seems to do large scale DLC right, and after watching the gameplay demonstrations they’ve had the last few weeks, I can say that they really seem to have outdone themselves.

He isn’t “possibly great” he is one of the top 3 or 4 pound for pound fighter s to ever live and possibly the greatest technical fighter to ever walk the face of the earth. There is a lot of skill to all those shoulder rolls and timing misses.  I don’t know of anyone in the modern era that brings brainwork into the

After reading an interview with the developers I’ve lost all faith in this game. They set some bizarre self imposed rules for them to follow, which they ended up breaking and didn’t hardly include any fan favorite characters. They didn’t want to use any Child characters, but Nintendo insisted they use Lucina, so

I don’t think the Pro is a failure, since I don’t believe Sony ever thought it would sell like hotcakes. It’s a bit of a “side model” destined for the minority of gamers who care about having extra nice graphics. The main console for most people remains the PS4.

I think it looks excellent. How could you more succesfully bring Shenmue into the current generation without abandoning its much loved art style and character design? It looks like a Dreamcast game done with today’s technology — which it is. I’m sure my nostalgia goggles are skewing my opinion, but that trailer really

I’m trying to find where the “ass” is in that trailer. This is what our expectations have become?

I have been saying for a while now that if the Xbox team really wanted to make a splash, they’d have made a living room PC and used their brand to succeed where Valve failed. The Xbox One X seems so unappealing to me. Unless third-party publishers are going to start releasing new games at 60FPS on Xbox One X (they’re

I sat on the fence for awhile debating if I should upgrade my original Xbox One to the X, but I think I’m going to hold off. I’m waiting mainly because the exclusive games I’m interested in will be available on PC and I haven’t invested in a 4K HDR TV so I feel I’ll be under-utilizing many of the available features.

I’m not so sure Splatoon 2 being the best selling game in July is actually all that impressive. What was it’s competition? A rerelease of a 10 year old Final Fantasy? Pyre? It was the lone AAA release in the summer doldrums. The table was set for it.

The Switch definitely feels like a very sleek system that’s “cool,” and I love playing on it, I just don’t really think it matters thaaaaaat much. I’m still putting a ton of time into my 3DS because its games library is awesome and the 3DS is pretty decidedly “uncool”

It’s just a shame that they botched the online side of things again. It’s sad that they actually took a step backward from the Wii U in this key area. Literally the only complaint I have about the Switch. Friend codes should go and be replaced with unique IDs (which already exist). They should then proceed with

Naughty Dog is one company I have no compunctions about preordering from. They always deliver polished games with great characters and good to excellent writing. Gameplay, IMO, is just the vehicle to present the story for games like this, so if it’s not perfect it’s not really a big deal.

Those faces are making me laugh so hard. Thank you. In exchange, I will give you some snaps with somewhat funny faces from my recent purchase, Horizon Zero Dawn:

Yes. It’s also just another Uncharted game with beautiful vistas, fleshed out characters, a compelling story and a photo mode that lets you do winky faces!

You were right to get in trouble for this take.

Totalbiscuit should shut the fuck up. Play the game or shut up.

THIS is the biggest problem. despite the menu being barely useful in PS4, when you finally find the thing you want, it’s responsive. PS4 menus are much snapper than XBO by a wide margin. Going to the store in XBO, it almost feels like they don’t WANT you to buy anything. ANd backing out takes just as long. It’s

By dated you mean much more simple and not 100% fucked like Xbox?

It’s one of the most confusing and convoluted menu systems I’ve seen. They really overthought it and the end result is confusing and doesn’t make a lot of sense.

Every time I turn on my Xbone (which isn’t that often) I have to relearn how to navigate the menus.
