You could add external storage to the PS4 as well ya know. And I moved my external drive between systems all the time. I never had a license issue doing that but I had that pop up from other things and it’s just a couple menus in the settings to restore your licenses. 

I don’t care why they did it, I’m just glad someone did and a developer got called on their bullshit by a big company.
