My folks are on their third one and they have all been very reliable.

i own an XJ-S convertible that is 8 years older than your XK. i bought it last summer and i’ve been able to put 214 miles on it so far. on some nice weekends i push it out into my driveway, put the hood up, and clang my tools together in the garage so the neighbors will think I’m cool. Mostly I’m just listening to

This is the one I struggle with. I think the advice sounds very reasonable, but man, getting through that can be rough. Doesn’t help that my kids realize that most of the stuff we buy comes from Amazon or are car parts ordered online. They realize that ANYTHING can be bought or replaced. Just need to work on having

$50k, 4 doors, and eight cylinders? I think the answer is 2 Miatas.

It’s possible, just don’t overspend. My first car I bought on my own was a 2006 Mazda 3. I had $10k financed, around 6% for 4 years. Payment was just over $200/mo. My next car was a 2010, financed around $15k at 2% for 5 years and was under $300/mo. Just don’t go in buying a $40k car with $3k down.

For sure unless they are a New BMW forum where they will shoot me down in flames.

I worked with a guy who had a Tercel that he openly admitted he was trying to kill so that he could get a new(er) car. A couple of years after I left the company, I ran into him, and asked how he finally killed it. His face contorted, he made a fist, and growled, “It won’t die! IT! WON’T! DIE!”

I suggested he pour

Hi, its 2,600 members from around the world! There’s one guy that found his childhood Tercel in a ditch ten years later and is now restoring it back to bare metal. Tercel4wd.com/forums

Then you must not live in a weed-legal state :)

They may be appliances to you but I bet he knows them and enjoys them more than most new BMW drivers. I don’t believe its the model of car that defines how much of an enthusiast you are.

There’s only one problem:

Did you miss the part where he is quoted saying he likes cars, especially funky ‘80s stuff? Liking old, cheap cars does not mean you have no interest in cars.

This just prove that for many persons, cars are just basic appliances.

Whatever, you guys still have Max on board! He’ll be able document everything with his tiny camera even though there is a fullblown camera crew right the fuck there.

For all the F-Type fans out there. Actually just finished working on this today.

The story of the Aerostar coming into being was an interesting one. FoMoCo wanted a minivan, but they didn’t have experienced minivan designers and engineers. So they turned some truck guys onto the project and thus we got the Aerostar. They weren’t particularly bad vans and their unusual combination of rigid frame

You can budget for five grand and get the World’s Nicest Windstar and have enough left over for a backup vehicle.

It’s funny how the Taurus and the Windstar —two of the cheapest used cars you can get— are safety stars from ages ago. Hey, they even drive decently, or so you can tell yourself when you buy one. I kid, they do drive decently enough.

Crush was also one of the best wrestlers to pick in the arcade game WWF WrestleFest in the Battle Royal. If you grab a fresh wrestler coming into the ring, you can usually throw him over the ropes fairly quickly, or you can wear him down with either a piledriver or a standing clothesline.
