Maybe. I’d probably exclude sequels altogether. I have trouble convincing myself that sequels or remakes count as spin-offs. Admittedly things get pretty messy with the Ivalice games.

X-2 is fun but not sure it’s a list topper. 13-12 and Lightning Returns are hot garbage. They’d be on a Bottom 10 list.

The only Zelda title with a number is the worst game in the series by far so I'm particularly married to the title BOTW2.

That’s a difference between ranked/unranked not competitive versus uncompetitive. Unranked competition is still competition. Is the word “Competitive” used in interchangeably with “Ranked” in Destiny?

I’ve never really played Destiny but I’m confused how any PvP mode is not competitive.

I think at this point they feel like these dubious titles are part of their brand. They seem certain that the audience finds them charming or something. At the very least, they benefit these types of articles bringing up a huge chunk of their back catalog about a dozen times a year.
