My first thought was, is this a Protestant college or Catholic college. Most Catholics I know are down with the fact that we fall into the Abrahamic tradition, basically because you’re taught that while you’re still in HS. Protestants tend to think everyone else who isn’t one of them (incl. other Christians) is

I do feel for public defenders and they have a very difficult job. I just don't think that doing your best includes essentially colluding with the prosecution and police.

Seriously, those are the kind of guys you want in your corner. They are how lawyers are supposed to behave with their clients *side-eye Len Kachinsky*. You know, believing in their client and actually communicating with them and their families.

The part where he asked his mom what inconsistent meant, and her not knowing slayed me. You could see he was struggling and she also had a limited education who was just doing her best to trust the system. They were being manipulated by people far more sophisticated who clearly saw that whole family as a garbage.

Honestly, I was at Pennington’s in the fall to buy some jeans and her stuff was twice the price, without being twice the quality. It looked just like any other stuff you’d see there. Very dissapointed. I bought the store brand jeans. If I’m going to spend $100 on jeans, I don’t want to have to replace them in 6

Doesn’t one of her first books have the heroine working for a sanitation/hygeine committe? Could be getting my writers mixed up.

Omg me too! Fuck cabbage rolls and borscht!

I'd take New England. We can always do with some more picturesque foliage in our tourism portfolio. I say this as someone leaving for a mini break to Vermont this weekend. We'd also end up owning all the maple.

Actually Catherine McKenna is environment minister. I work for EC. Kristy is minister for science. Which is still awesome! Because the fact that we have that ministry is a major step in the right direction!

Seriously the cheap ass prescriptions are the reason I essentially go out of my way to use their pharmacy. I now have drug coverage, but only 80%. They have a ridiculously low dispensing fee, so on one of mine I pay something like $1.50 for 2 months worth of pills.

As a Catholic, I was always told that while you repent, you will still need to atone. That whole purgatory thing. Some sins are greater than others. If I go to confession about lying, and dude behind me is going because of committing mass murder, I damn well hope the priest is going to give him more than 10 Hail

I agree. I found that when they were sort of hiding them at the beginning of the DtoL presentation, it was awkward. Then when they showed that it was them it fucked up with the pacing. If they had done it sans-Duggar, the TV special format would have worked better. It felt like TLC shoehorned that segment in last

There’s a shit tonne of trees, except maybe in SK, where there’s just a shit tonne of canola. But there's also already something like a 5km wide swath of clear cut, sort of like a giant ditch. You can see it on google earth. It may be even bigger.

Forensic Files is my go to if I’m having trouble sleeping. I love the show, but something about it is so mellow that it usually gets my eyes to feel heavy. I just always forget to turn on the sleep timer, and then I wake up 3 hours later to it still being on.

Small world! I have yet to try it. I’ve been going to the new Sobeys for lunches lately.

Whoa! Are you talking about Backdrop restaurant? If so I think we must work in the same building!

If you are looking to remove the hair, have you tried sugaring? I go to a nice salon and now I have very little grow back and it’s downy soft and fine, so barely visible. It’s a lot more comfortable than wax and a million times less irritating than shaving, which is why I have switched. I’m a razor hater.

I find that the more expensive the earring, the longer the post. I recently treated myself to a pair of tanzanite studs, and the jeweler told me that the posts were longer for safety, and that on their diamond studs, it was actually screw on backings. Sort of makes sense, although they do sort of poke me in the neck.

Yay, another cilantro hater! Stevia is also NASTY!

Too Cute is the best! Anytime I’m having a marginally shitty day, I pop one of those on and melt. Pure happiness. It’s like the good news segment at the end of the nightly news. You need it in this cruel world.
