If you’ve ever been in a boat that was going from a standstill up to plane you’ll understand that, when seated at the helm, you’re looking up at the bow or the sky and have no vision of what’s immediately in front of you. If your car is in a perpetual state of “trying to get up on plane” due to suspension

Now playing

Reminds me of Bill Burr’s take on Steve Jobs and Apple

Not at all. Look at the mountain range in the background and the sparse vegetation. Might be NV or AZ, but certainly not FL.

FYI, you pay sales taxes based on the state where you register the car, not where it’s purchased.

Exactly - the fact that the car and driveway are wet while the street is dry makes me wonder if they were trying to hide any paint or body panel imperfections or if this was a wet gloss without waxing attempt. On summer break many years ago I worked as a car jockey for a Porsche/Audi dealer. We were told to pay extra,

2nd Gear - Tata is not down $2B on JLR. You misunderstand what the Reuters article reported. Asset write downs (when an asset’s fair market value is less than the reported book value) and the charge related to restructuring costs (non-recurring or infrequent charges) are charged against income. Perhaps JLR is

Yeah, no. A liter of fuel will have a different volume when pumped into the plane at 30C vs. when it’s 30K feet in the air at -45C. And fuel is burned by mass, not volume.

Don’t be such a hore...

So GA is central FL?

A home in Berkeley, CA sold for $1M over the asking price of $1.3M at the end of March!

I hear you. Fraud is rampant. Look at the douche who applied for PPP loans in Miami and bought a new Lambo Huracan EVO with some of the $3.5M that was supposed to help him with his employees. He was only caught bc the idiot was involved in a hit and run and this fraud was then uncovered.  However, his attorney wife

Tax fraud by definition vs. committing fraud and getting caught are two very different things buddy. A lawn care business has a reason to purchase “business” vehicles while generally, a doctor with a set place of business, does not.

It’s a federal tax issue. Businesses which purchase large vehicles can claim 100% deduction off their taxable income for the year. This rule was set in place to encourage the purchases of new business vehicles (e.g. trucks, heavy duty vehicles, etc.), which happens to include large SUVs. It’s not a carve out

If you believe 45 miles is “right next to” then sure. Homosassa is on the gulf coast, The Villages is close to the center of the state.

I don’t disagree that many drivers/trucking companies can get away with driving over the regulated hours. However, if a driver is indeed caught (e.g. traffic violation, logbook inspection at a weigh station) the fines can be very hefty, against the driver and/or the trucking company. That then may lead to an audit of

Fed law limits how many hours a driver can drive within a period, it’s not up to each driver to determine how long they can go.

Honda Africa Twin, KTM Super Duke RR, BMW R1250GS perhaps.

Yeah, my bad, I stand corrected. I only connect my phone to rental cars via Bluetooth for GPS and hands free calling but always decline synching any of my info to them. I’ve been curious when seeing other phone’s info show up on the screens and tapped the phones to see what would happen but never has it pulled up any

That is standard - you pair you phone to the car and the car uses the name you’ve assigned to your phone. That’s all, it can’t access the phone nor its contents if its not in the car with you.
