We’re still talking about how shitty BvS was. We’re not still talking about Civil War because it came out, what, three months ago? It’s no longer current. We’re not talking about the Nolan Batman movies on the regular anymore, either - does that mean they suck, in your estimation?
I should warn you Yttrium is a Snyder troll, he’s not interested in discussions, only in being right.
Man of Steel did flop if you hold it up to expectations -
You and I appear to have very different ideas about what constitutes good plot. As you said, to each his own.
The majority of your criticisms of Civil War are nitpicking at best.
Sorry, but I have to disagree. Zemo used the threat that he could program the other Winter Soldiers and release them on the world as a way to lure Steve to Siberia. He never had any intention of actually doing it. The Winter Soldiers are emblematic of everything he was trying to destroy.
Not a sound strategy to bring up one of the more successful Marvel movies when defending one of the worst DC movies.
What’s so bad about building up Vision and Wanda’s relationship? I mean they do get married in the comics. There’s nothing wrong with charter development. And honestly we’ve seen that climax in at least 3 other MCU movies where they fight generic villains, it’s nice to have that kind of plot twist.
Yeah, but I’ll actually want to rewatch Civil War. B vs. S is just a movie that gets talked about because it was so bad.
It’s not even that: it’s a beautifully crafted scene where everyone has a moment to shine. Nobody gets lost throughout the fight: the cuts are crisp, there’s no wasted plot, and the Russos flawlessly integrate the most popular comic book character in the world into the plot and action (and MCU) seamlessly.
I thought Civil War was the most interesting and unique thing Marvel has done so far. Yes, even more so than Guardians of the Galaxy, which had some good jokes and weird characters (and some pretty compelling emotional arcs for each member of the main crew, which worked for the first 2/3 of the movie) but ended up…
Ang Lee’s Hulk was horrible on many levels.
I’m still talking about it because after Iron Man it’s the best movie Marvel has made and had a lot of great story and character moments, and was one of the few times in the MCU that plot things happened in a non-contrived way, something Marvel has been failing at since The Avengers (technically since Iron Man 2, but…
Disagree; they put on film the best action sequence in any superhero movie. I’d put it up against the best action films.

“Hey, have you seen Suicide Squad?”
“No, why?”
“It’s pretty bad. It’s a shame that such an ensemble from DC can’t compare to Marvel. Civil War was a much more cohesive film than that mess.”
“Zero about the movie we are making has been called a mess by anyone in the know. Fact.”
Who will win? Batman, or DJ Khaled?
Iron Mike Gallego was a very bad commenter screenname but not the absolute worst. My vote goes to Same Sad Echo — what does that even mean?
I thought he was playing him in real life.
