Oh shut it, you green-blooded goblin.

Final Frontier is underrated IMO. Yeah, it's kind of crap, but out of all the movies, it feels the most like a TOS episode. Nemesis is the worst. I will never for the life of me understand how some people can place this POS above Insurrection.

Let's get into crazytown theories for a moment, why not: The series is set about 100 years after VOY, some cataclysmic event left the federation crippled. The Discovery is one of the few remaining starships, probably because it sat in a museum all the time. Also, it's really sturdy.

Also he told Troi to finally get dressed.

Also, a ship with Adam Scott as the helmsman is pretty rad by default.

About Kirk: People tend to forget that Shatner is a trained and pretty descent actor, who brought a lot of depth to the character in the first two seasons. The Kirk stereotype really only became a thing in season three, when the whole thing came off the rails. After that, it's all Shatning all the way.

I was never a big VOY fan, but over the years, Janeway has rather surprisingly climbed the ranks of my favorite characters very swiftly. I don't think your "mad scientist" idea is too far off the mark. Whenever they meet a problem / space anomaly of the week, her first impulse seems to be "oooh, let's poke it and see

What I'll never get about Enterprise is why Archer is such a jerk. We have the first human FTL starship, go explore and marvel at the wonders of the universe! But no, it's all *grumble grumble stupid Vulcans*, *grumble grumble my dog is more important than your stupid planet*. What's even weirder is that Scott Bakula

I liked JJ-Pike. He should have stuck around.

Well, canon-wise, we don't know to what end it came. Maybe the Discovery blows it up. Brian Fuller, I'm here all day for more ideas.

Hey brother. Tony Hale owes a huge debt to this guy.

Sisko: The only good parent in all of Star Trek? Crusher tried, but she did abandon her kid for a whole year.

Which was one of the big things about DS9: They couldn't just fly away from whatever trouble they caused. TOS is probably the worst in this regard. "I have destroyed your fake god! Now figure the rest out for yourselves! Toodles! *zoom-bang*"

Stolen from elsewhere: How funny would it have been, if Voyager finally came back to Earth, and every crewmember had been replaced by some delta-quadrant alien along the way?

I always had Martin Freeman in mind. Weird franchise crossover, probably.

I'd be into that.

Best: Sisko.
Would serve under: Janeway. Seriously, she seems like the only one who might care about my survival.

Oooh. I dig it. Didn't expect them to go this way after the rather bubbly movie Enterprise.

The problem I see with Spock coming out is that he is already so much the "other", being half alien and all that. He was ostracized by his vulcan peers, has trouble fitting in with humans, is an endangered species. Now being gay on top of that seems a bit like shoving everything onto a single character.

I loved it as well for just being so bonkers. The rolling giant Donut, the subway falling out into a fault… it should be gruesome, but it's just so hilarious.
