“The car, according to Blue Ribbon News, was donated to the Genesis Center by a local resident battling cancer:

As promised in the Facebook post, Toyota of Rockwall later announced that Rebecca Rawl has indeed sold the car, to a gentleman named Daniel Rawlz.

I bet you’d still see a hockey coach out there.

Oh man, I got such a kick out of House memes and gifs, back in that show’s heyday. It was such a gloriously stupid show.

Perhaps it’s 3-1 lead poisoning.

I don’t think there is any other thought that can come to mind first.

No; they don’t. They need to do exactly what this man did, which is stand up for people who are being bullied by power-mad assholes.

Standing by while heinous shit happens is how civilizations die. Big dude should have shit stomped bald pudgy fucker into oblivion, but understandably jail is not fun.

Um...basically all corporations that lobby for more deregulation and more protection against customers suing them—often at the expense of basic human decency? Pretty obvious.

Implicitly the US government allowed them to say that when it deregulated airlines.

The Mustang on board took over.

The title makes me think of that video of the people trying to load a Civic into the back of a truck. “WHY DID YOU TURN”

Yes! I’m a social scientist type and I highly value research and data, but damn, that’s research methods 101. And in the celebration of science (which I fully support) there has to also be an acknowledgment of how it’s historically been used and too often continues to be used to further marginalize vulnerable people.

Not only have some activists, organizers, and political pundits trumpeted this flawed logic, but it’s also being espoused by some of our nation’s scientists, who one would expect to trust the data, if nothing else.
