There are plenty of them, but that’s true, they’re all grayscale. If I’m going to end up with a color I hate anyway, I’ll just save 10k and buy a used one with 15,000mi. That doesn’t really seem to compute with them when they offer me a gray one with almost no extra money off. The only reason the “take this gray-scale

You say that, but all the aftermarket bumpers to rectify the problem are even more ridiculous looking than the predator grille. Plus, 90% of them require cutting the front bumper, rather than just replacing it completely like you do on a Jeep. I guess you can lift it but:

I can’t mirror the rosy experiences everyone else is having.

Even more eye popping is how expensive it’s gotten.... There’s bidding wars for houses Pflugerville! It’s just bonkers, and who knows when it’s going to slow down.

ND. A Base water-cooled 911 cab with 100k+ is never “investment grade”, doubly so for a 996 unless its a Paint and Leather to Sample car. Guards Red is somewhat uncommon on the 996, but that’s only because it looks so comically bad. Aero kit would be a big plus on a coupe, but looks silly here. Plus you need to budget

None of the dealers I’ve dealt with have really raised their trade offers to match used car demand.

Heh, same for me, but on some state highway west of I-49 just outside the Kisatchie National Forest. Was driving from Central Texas to meet my parents in NOLA, and decided to make it a two day affair to see part of the country most people don’t venture.

4low isn’t necessary if you’re doing Forest Service roads that a Forester can handle. But if you’re just doing that, why ruin the ride/handling of the Touryenne with a lift? With a decent set of tires, it is really not necessary. The only real issue I’ve had with mine on mild trails is inching up stuff, that’s one

Agreed about the Touareg. I love mine and it’s been my favorite daily. Every time I drive my mom’s similar aged VR6 Cayenne, I can’t help but question why she spent the extra $20k. I guess the PSE exhaust is dope, and the interior is a little more posh, but meh.

The KL can still be optioned with a low range and rear locker, I don’t see that anywhere on the Chevy configurator.

Ummmm.... neither. They’re both bad tbh.

Agreed, and its not just the AWD. The Allroad is flat out dull unless you mod it. I had more a lot more fun in my Mk6 TDI....

“As long as you can keep your customers, by the third or fourth cycle your products are way better than the GMs of the world.”

Depends. Starting with the 991 I believe SC came with active engine mounts on the 911, not sure about the Cayman/Boxster. Later MTs have auto revmatching on the manuals as well. It also gets you some sweet g-meters etc. on the infotainment.

Agreed, it’s badge-less, and looks kinda like any other VW, same as the R32. It’s not Vehicross distinct, but it’s at least as distinct as the LJ or the Lexus suggested by the staff. The LX is about as funky as any other Toyota (save the FJ), and really only qualifies due to its relative scarcity. Same with the LJ,

Doesn’t really have anything to do with me noticing them more. The only year the Treg actually outsold the Cayenne in North America (let alone the Q7) was 2005(that was as far back as I could find with some quick googling). Take my 2016.... Audi sold ~7x as many Q7s as VW did Tregs. The Piech VWs never sold well here

I see a lot more Q7s and Cayennes around me, and rarely ever see another Treg. *Shrugs* guess my idea of funky and yours are different.

No chance for a sub $15k diesel Cayenne, they’re too new, and most of those got an extra two years of full warranty coverage, remaining factory coverage and/or CPO plus the standard

Yup or save some money and just buy the V6 Touareg and have even more cash left over for repairs.

Gen 1 Tiguans are all over the place in the US, assuming that’s where the person looking for advice is from. Granted, they aren’t as popular as the Honda or Subaru, but I still see plenty around. My friend has a Tig and it’s pretty roomy, but it isn’t going to fit three bigger dogs, either.

Believe me, if they still offered the lifetime warranty, but only on new ones, I’d be at the dealer already.
