Yeah, it’s disappointing. The Touareg has been my favorite daily, but the service issue(s) have made me second guess wanting to keep it for the long haul. Not that Jeep is going to be any better, but at least there are more servicing options, official and indy, to choose from.

Has the $50k price point for the Jeep been confirmed? I figured they’d be pushing it into the Luxury $65K+ X7, Denali/Escalade price bracket. Could leave a RAM Charger to fit the $50k-60K Tahoe range.

Heh, yeah it probably does. It was a great car. The seat bolstering adjustment broke, one HPFP went, and I had one bank of injectors leak during my three year ownership. It wasn’t nearly as bad as some had it. My Touraeg has already been through a water pump, and has either a transfer case issue or the driveshaft

I get your sentiment too, I remember my grandparents horrible ‘98, but Dodge still sells something called the Durango, which was the replacement I was speaking of.

You’re probably right. However, if sales slow down enough they’ll bring it back as an incentive like the great recession.

This is a Durango replacement, full stop. You have to wonder is Stellantis aiming to kill off both Chrysler and Dodge, or just Chrysler?

I mentioned the individual program at least twice, plus LSB/Kiwi leather on the E46 M3, which as far as I can tell never actually made it to the US option list officially (outside of individual program orders), even though it was available globally. The original thread was about the breadth of color/trim options not

Good for you?

I mean.... the E9x M3 had many interior color and individual options available during its run, but hardly any dealers ordered them here in America. Over in Euroland, even the normal 3ers had custom steering wheels, merino leathers, and trims like this as options, as far back as the E36/39 generation. Plus, over there

I mean it can happen to anything with a solid axle, there’s vids of newer F250s getting it on Youtoob.

Ugh, I’d love to have 4xmotion and air suspension on my T3. I wanted a Grand Cherokee, but the VW was way more comfy, better equipped, cheaper(used), and higher quality feeling. Plus I wasn’t gonna pay the Trailhawk and V8 premium, and the pentastar was just less satisfying than the VR6. I’m glad it was because I

Heh, tell that to Porsche and Ferrari. Or BMW with their awful “everything is beige except for the dash” thing, that’s 100% worse than this in every way.

Laughs in Texas (and I’m sure a few other states).

If it’s totally clear (traffic wise) I totally understand the frustration with people not sending it, but that’s just the thing....

Austin isn’t too bad. Especially in the city/suburbs itself. When you get near WilCo, or out near the outskirts of the suburbs (Hutto, Taylor, Florence) it can go mad max pretty fast. Georgetown and Hutto are the most annoying. Was out enjoying a drive in my 944 yesterday when I ended up in front of a new-ish lifted

Yep it is!

I’ll admit prices have crept since I last looked, but you’re right.... there’s no supply in the “driver” market right now. Everything is low mileage cream puffs. https://mart.pca.org/ads/45691 The 968 is a bit over the 924S’s price, but it is worth the premium.

$13,750 is pushing driver quality, higher mileage Turbo and S2 money. If you can live with a cab it’s almost 968 money. This is a decent 924, but even I, a lover of all things transaxle, wouldn’t go much above 9k for this one.

Yeah I’d believe it. Same with my Touareg, one more year of bumper to bumper, then another 6yrs/50k remaining on the 10/100k powertrain coverage. Still might buy my credit union warranty for stuff like the steering rack and electrics, but outside of a misaligned AC drain, it’s been 100% solid so far. Maybe I’ll skip

Yup, that’s what I was quoted for the 2yr coverage on the Porsche and what my mom was quoted for the 50i X5. Could you negotiate that down? I imagine so, but this is the land of $120-180HR labor rates + import duties on foreign parts. Keep in mind, none of the warranty underwriters want to lose money either. Even if
