I think I can understand his intentions: he wanted a blood sample from the reserve officer to establish that he wasn’t in any way inebriated while driving that big truck. He was looking out for a fellow policeman, and perhaps helping the prosecutor when the erratic driver was taken to trial.

Even though he’s not really a Christian and has been faking the religion thing to appease his evangelical supporters, to walk out of a church and say “We’ll see” when asked about starting a war with another country is pretty disgusting. His supporters should be insulted by his disrespect, but we all know they won’t be.
