@stpurniq: Try using Ubuntu-Tweak to add the Mozilla Stable repository. I've actually started adding the unstable/nightly-build Mozilla repo, 'cause most of the time the "unstable" nightly version performs better than the latest "stable" version.

@PaintDrinkingPete: I prefer SiphonSync. It allows you to keep a constant sync of addons between as many firefox installs as you want. Whenever you install a new plugin on one computer, the SiphonSync dialog will pop up the next time you restart firefox on one of the other machines, with a list of (synced) plugins…
