@Thaylin: Thanks! The N1 will be my wife's first smartphone, but I've had nothing but smartphones since they were first introduced, and with all that Android has to offer, I have no problem dealing with a few minor quirks between patches/bugfixes. I may have to "train" my wife on how to properly use a smartphone,

@GlennA: I'll be first in line to get 2 of them.

@Thaylin: I am planning on getting the Nexus One very soon for both myself and my wife (as business phones). What do you think of yours? Is it worth the investment?

@CraigStanton: you got your symbols backward.. ' = ft and " = in

All it needs is a Thunderbird addon

I can't wait to replace my Symbian-based Sony-Ericsson G900 with a Nexus One.. No more disappointment from "no Symbian version made"..

@gibson_se: I wish that actually worked... My wife makes more messes than I ever did before she moved in. ...which is why I no-longer venture into the kitchen (it's kinda scary when she's done cooking something... her parents never taught her to clean up while the mess is fresh)

@Felix26591: The interface of Mint is usually more user friendly. I use both enough to see the benefits of each, but if you're introducing a "n00b" to Linux, Mint is probably better for them than full-blown Ubuntu.

@Samsonian: I totally agree. I personally prefer Linux Mint because it essentially is Ubuntu, it just has a bunch of improvements built right into it. I do still have a couple older machines running Xubuntu because they just don't have the hardware capability to support Gnome or KDE. Ubuntu definitely has a version

Hopefully Linux Mint will produce a "Netbook Remix" version. Mint is built from Ubuntu anyway, it just improves the usability over what Ubuntu provides. I'll have to play around with UNR some, maybe it doesn't need a Mint version like the Ubuntu Desktop edition usually does.

Technically, we were rick-rolled by Jason... He's to one that posted the video.

@Shadow-Lurker: Gotta give the guy major props... that's quite a creative way to set up for a rick-roll.

@Russ: My company's twitter account (ThreeTENSeven) will be following you now, as will both of my personal accounts. I'm interested in seeing what you have to offer!

@Whitson Gordon: That's why I love owning a few different domains. A throw-away account is as easy as typing a new ______@kondrik.com. I have a "catch-all" rule set to send everything directed at "nonexistant" addresses to my "spam" address. If I start getting junk in my inbox that's aimed at "xyz@kondrik.com", I

And, of course, Microsoft being the geniuses that they are, IE (even up to 9 - which isn't officially out yet) barely supports anything. And they wonder why web developers hate IE (and MS in general) so much.

OpenOffice.org FTW

@nitrous9200: It may seem like most "creative types" use Apple/Mac.. But there are quite a few web development companies (like mine) out there that know better than to waste unnecessary money on hardware that can't compare to stuff half as expensive just because it's the "cool" thing to do.
